Meet Kendall

Hi, I’m Kendall, a creative entrepreneur and Business Administration and marketing student at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC). I’m passionate about branding, consumer behavior, and digital strategy, and I love finding ways to turn ideas into meaningful experiences. Over the years, I’ve sought opportunities to apply my knowledge in real-world settings, from mentorship programs to entrepreneurship initiatives.

During the summer of 2023, I participated in the UMKC Summer Scholars entrepreneurship program, learning how to apply academic concepts directly to business ventures. In spring 2024, I had the opportunity to take part in a mentorship with the Kansas City Chiefs, gaining firsthand experience in sports marketing, fan engagement, and brand partnerships. I’m also a UMKC Launchpad Scholar, Career Escalators Scholar, and Honors student.

My passion for creativity and design led me to start The K in KC Designs in 2021. What began as a personal exploration of digital illustration has grown into a small business offering custom designs on products like vinyl stickers and apparel. I’ve taught myself tools like Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, and Procreate, and now use platforms like Etsy and Printify to share my work with others.

Alongside my business, I’ve built a career in hospitality at The Melting Pot, where I currently serve as an assistant manager and location content creator. I believe dining is more than a meal—it’s an experience. From personalized service and guest celebrations to mentoring team members and representing the brand on social media a content creator, I focus on creating meaningful connections every day.

I’m driven by the desire to combine my education, creative skills, and marketing experience to build a career in design, advertising, and brand strategy.
