During covid-19, many digital creators were taking the time to network within their communities to get the support they needed from those running into the same issues. For me, I found this community as a way to keep going and to learn and grow during this time of hardship. I am most proud of my relationship with my Instagram followers and customers. I love replying to comments, chatting with other business owners, and just being in a positive atmosphere of people like me.
I hosted a Fall Illustration Collab during October of 2021. There weren't restrictions or anything, just to create something that inspires you or reminds you of fall/Halloween! We then all posted our illustration followed by the group design to each of our Instagram profiles. It was a great way to add more content to our own pages while also interacting with other business owners and showcasing their talents too!
I met Christina and instantly fell in love with her personality. Christina is a talented stylist located at Painted Strands Salon. She reached out to me a bit after one of my hair appointments asking if I could create a couple digital pieces for her, and of course I couldn't pass it up! She had me create an illustrated version of her at the salon, and it was great advertisement for both of us as well! If you are local to Kansas City and in need of a stylist, she's your girl! @christinas.creative.color
Abriana Fraizer and I have been friends since our early childhood. Abriana turned her baking hobby into a side hustle naming it, Sweet Dreams Bakery. She is based in the Cape Girardeau, Missouri area as well as Southern Illinois. I was very eager to help be a part of making her business idea into a reality, and so I crafted some business cards for her.
